Team History:
H&W started in 1999 playing at U8 level in the South Hants Glass Portsmouth Sunday Mini Soccer League. Most of the boys have been with the team since then. They found it hard in the early years but have progressed to be one of the strongest teams in the Portsmouth area. They went on to win the Portsmouth Sunday Mini Soccer cup at U10's and then the Portsmouth Sunday Youth League Cup at U11's. They were also Sunday Hampshire cup semi finalists at U11's. Through the years they have won numerous 6-a-side competitions as well as winning the Mitre Cup in Cornwall when U11's. Last year was not the best year for them and were unsuccesful in all competitions, so this year they decided to start playing in the Mid Solent Youth League on Saturdays as well as continuing to play in the Portsmouth Sunday Youth League. The extra competition seems to be paying off with them winning a spot in the Saturday Hampshire Cup Final as well being in the Semi Final of the Mid Solent League Cup. As well as doing this they currently stand top of the Portsmouth Sunday Youth League.
